The pictures are protected by visible and invisible
watermarking.
In no case can the pictures selected be used for purposes other than those of study or exclusively personal use. The pictures selected may not be superimposed, cut or joined to other pictures nor may the integrity of the pictures themselves be damaged, in any way. Likewise, words or other symbols that might substantially change the object or significance of the picture may not be associated with the
pictures.
No manipulation is permitted, including redimensioning, extrapolation of details, altering the
quality.
Any use that can be related to any form whatsoever of pornography is absolutely
forbidden.
It is absolutely forbidden to lend, hire out, sell any picture, as well as its transfer to cd. Bbs or use in any other form whatsoever of on-line
service.
It is absolutely forbidden to use the pictures for other purposes without authorization on the part of Fratelli Alinari, the photographer, the personages depicted, the museums, libraries or institutions claiming rights of authorship, economic use or any other right to the photograph or the work of art
reproduced.
For the reproduction of pictures of art subjects made by living artists or those who died less than 70 years ago, authorization must be obtained from those owning the right or from the SIAE that represents them. Should the user desire to use the pictures for purposes other than study or exclusively personal use or should the user wish to have a higher resolution print, he must contact Fratelli Alinari (Largo Fratelli Alinari, 15,
Florence) directly.
The pictures that can be consulted on this website come from the Fratelli Alinari fund (Fratelli Alinari Museum of the History of Photography and Alinari Archives) and from the photographic archives managed or represented by Fratelli
Alinari.
The pictures in the site belong to all effects to Fratelli Alinari and through Fratelli Alinari to the respective owners. Alinari oversees and safeguards any traditional reproduction and/or hire that may ensue. The pictures are protected by copyright laws (subsequently, also “copyright”) throughout the world in conformity with the copyright
laws.
Fratelli Alinari refuses all responsibility for an improper or unauthorized use of the pictures, in violation of the regulations above which are to be considered absolutely
unbreakable.
