DIGITALIZATION AND DIGITAL WATERMARKING
The Alinari digital division is avant-garde under the technological and functional
aspect. Specialized personnel carry out and control the digitizing process, the color correspondence, the accuracy of the procedure, the philological pertinence of the retouching
The Alinari digitizing system, with professional scanners and digital back, includes color quality control. The process guarantees that the digital image can reproduce the original as a print, pulling proofs with professional HP
printers.
The digitized images are stored on Windows storage servers.
Alinari makes its experience in the field of digital treatment of all types of photographic originals (glass-plate negatives, daguerreotypes, digital images, color photos in all formats, etc) available thanks to the backlog of experience acquired in the technical sector involving the photographical material housed in the Fratelli Alinari Museum of the History of Photography, in the activities of the Restoration Laboratory (in collaboration with the Opificio delle Pietre Dure in Florence) as well as in the international workshops organized by Alinari with the most important experts in the field of photography in the world (from historical to innovative).
The digitized images put online are protected by a system of digital watermarking.
