à¢â‚¬Å"This book is the first fruit of a study destined to introduce and valorize a local artistic heritage linked in various ways to the great master from Pieve di Cadore. It is not limited to the study of art in a strictly philological sense, but is open to a historiographical concept of an anthropological and sociological nature, setting the Cadore in a broader picture as a land of exchange and experimentation, a place where different cultural realities, in some ways complementary, were received. The objective is therefore that of increasing research aimed at recovering an identity as rich and complex as that of the Cadore. The decision to give precedence to a study of a local nature at the same time has availed itself of a methodological choice centered on center/suburban relationships, setting the Cadore in a larger and more dynamic reality and promoting studies of local history and culture side by side with the great Titianesque themes. This is all the result of meticulous research carried out by Alessandra Cusinato, once more committed to themes of the art of the Cadore, and on this occasion guided by the innovative vision of Bernard Aikema.à¢â‚¬Â
