1986, ITALY : The italian Marchesa ANNA TORRIGIANI (1860 ca- 1917), photo by Bettini, Livorno. Born Anne FREY in Philadelphia, USA, married in Florence with italian marchese CARLO TORRIGIANI GUADAGNI (1856 - 1943), the couple dont have sons. Anne was a chif of ITALIAN RED CROSS (Croce Rossa Italiana) and the 30 december 1917 died of disease while volunteering to the front during the Great War, her husband posthumously published his diaries of war in 1923. Anna Torrigiani in 1908 was volunteer in Messina and Reggio Calabria after the heartquarke and was the Dama di Palazzo of Duchessa d'Aosta Elena d'Orleans in Reggia di Capodimonte, Napoli, like secretary of Red Cross
