1926, 27 november, WASHINGTON, USA: The italian Capitan UMBERTO NOBILE (1885 - 1978), hero of Arctic explorations, in USA at ITALIAN AMBASSY in WASHINGHTON. After the arrival of the transpolar airship NORGE at Teller, Alaska, with Roald Amundsen. Photo shows Capitan Nobile of Italy in military uniform, who designed and built the NORGE, and TITINA his pet Fox Terrier dog wich was mascotte of the ship and made the polar flight. With him (at Left with Titina) the italian celebrated aviator hero Comandante SILVIO SCARONI (1893 - 1977) and italian Fascist Ambassador Senatore GIACOMO DE MARTINO (1868 - 1957), with lens and top hat.
