1930 ca, ITALY: The italian jewish choir conductor and music composer VITTORE VENEZIANI (1878 -1958). His masterpieces was the opera LA LEGGENDA DEL LAGO (Venezia, 1911, libretto by G. Pusinillot). Director of CORO ALLA SCALA Opera House in Milano from 1921 (called by Arturo Toscanini) until 1938, when he had to resign because of the Fascist racial laws. He dedicated himself to the chorus of the synagogue in Milan, before taking refuge in Switzerland, in February 1944. At that time he continued to devote himself to choral setting up a chorus of Roveredo in the institute and participating in the musical life of the near Bellinzona. In July 1945 he returned to Italy and took up the director the chorus of La Scala, where he remained until October of 1954. Founder in 1954 of ACCADEMIA CORALE Città di FERRARA
