1870 ca, SAINT PETERSBURG, RUSSIA : The russian Tsar Alexander (Aleksandr) II Nikolaevich (1818 - 1881), was the father of Tsar Alexander III (Alexandrovich). Alexander II reigned as Emperor of Russia from from 3 March 1855 until his assassination in 1881. He was also the Grand Duke of Finland. Son of Tsar Nicholas I and Charlotte of Prussia, daughter of Frederick William III of Prussia and Louise of Mecklenburg-Strelitz.
