1927 ca, NEW YORK, USA: The British-born conjoined twins sisters Daisy and Violet Hilton (1908-1969), with his manager MYER MEYERS and wife EDITH MEYERS. The day 20 january 1931 the Hilton Twins at San Antonio, Texas Court took the witness together to testify in their suit against Myer Meyers, their manager, for receivership and accounting. Violet who did the talking also for his sister, testified they had never received any of the 200,000 they earned in Vaudeville and explained that Myers had said he" Was putting it away for us." The sisters play a role into the celebrated movie FREAKS (1932) by Tod Browning. They were exhibited in Europe as children, and toured the United States sideshow, vaudeville and American burlesque circuits in the 1920s and 1930s. In 1936 Violet married gay actor James Moore as a publicity stunt. The marriage lasted 10 years on paper, but it was eventually annulled. In 1941 Daisy married Harold Estep, better known as dancer Buddy Sawyer, who was also gay. The marriage lasted 10 days. In 1951 they starred in a second film CHAINED FOR LIFE by Harry L. Fraser, an exploitation film loosely based on their lives
