1944, USA: The american socialite and amateur opera soprano singer FLORENCE FOSTER JENKINS (1868-1944), program of his last concert at Carnegie Hall theatre in New York. Florence was known and ridiculed for her lack of rhythm, pitch, and tone; her aberrant pronunciation; and her generally poor singing ability. Celebrated like the WORST DISCORDANT AND UNABLE OPERA SINGER OF THE WORLD HISTORY. She began giving recitals in 1912, when she was in her early 40s. In 2016 the Hollywood star MERYL STREEP play the role of Florence in biopic FLORENCE FOSTER JENKINS, directed by Stephen Frears from a screenplay by Nicholas Martin.
