1860, 13 august, USA : The U.S.A. President ABRAHAM LINCOLN (Big South Fork, KY, 1809 - Washington 1865). Thought to be the last beardless portrait of Lincoln, this photo ambrotype was made for the portrait painter, John Henry Brown, noted for his miniatures in ivory.
