1937, USA : The movie star MARLENE DIETRICH (1901 - 1992), at time of movie ANGEL (Angelo) by Ernst Lubitsch, with american celebrated writer ERNEST HEMINGWAY (1899 - 1961). Dietrich hold a copy of a Hemingway book " To Have and Have Not "(Avere e non avere) by pubblisher Scribner's. This book was adapted to film in 1944 (ACQUE DEL SUD), starring Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall. The film, directed by Howard Hawks, changed the story's setting from Key West to Martinique.The script, which reinterprets the novel with great freedom, was built by Jules Furthman and by Nobel laureate William Faulkner.
