1943, 25 july, ROME, ITALY : After the Gran Consiglio del Fascismo the night of 24 july 1943 the power of Benito Mussolini The Duce of Italy stopped. The day after the people run into the streets for happiness. This is a photo shot at corner of Via del Corso and Via del Tritone. The people think at the stop of war but this was wrong, the day 8 september 1943 Badoglio signed the Armistice with Allied Force but the war against the Nazis and Fascists stopped the day 25 april 1945 with the assassination of Mussolini in North Italy and the fall of Repubblica Sociale Italiana (R.S.I.). After the flight of the King of Italy to Brindisi, 9 september 1943, the city of Rome was abandoned to the crimes, persecution and repression of the Nazi-fascist
