1915, 3 january, Pinerolo, Cuneo, ITALY : The italian Count TOMMASO LEQUIO di ASSABA (1893 - 1965) in the uniform of PINEROLO REGIMENTO DI CAVALLERIA, photo by Alifredi e Tadera, Pinerolo. Son of Conte Generale Clemente Lequio, father of Conte Clemente Lequio di Assaba (Paris 1925 - suicide in Torino 1971) married with princess Alessandra (Sandra Vittoria) Torlonia (born in 1936, daughter of prince Alessandro Torlonia Civitella Cesi and royal princess Beatrice di Borbone Infanta di Spagna, daughter of King Alfonso XIII of Spain). Tommaso was an Italian horse rider who competed in the Olympics games: 1920 Antwerpen,1924 Paris and 1928 Amsterdam. Remained in the army as a cavalry officer and became COLONNELLO (Colonel). Participated to the last phase of the war in North Africa in Tunisia to become commander. In WWI 1915 - 1918 he was fighting in a department of ARDITI.
