1890 ca, BERGAMO, ITALY : The italian industrial magnate CARLO CAPROTTI (1845 - 1926), photo by Andrea Taramelli, Bergamo. Massone and Giuseppe Mazzini follower of deep faith Garibaldi (his father Bernardo financed the purchase of rifles for the Expedition of the Thousand - Spedizione dei Mille). His daughter BETTINA (1873 - 1966) married cousin BERNARDO CAPROTTI (1868 - 1928), son of Carlo brother Giuseppe, and founded the industrial dynasty that will lead to the current multimillionnair tycon BERNARDO CAPROTTI (born in Milano, 1925) from 1957 with aid of USA millionnaire Nelson Rockfeller into the industry of supermarket and today howner of food chain ESSELUNGA
