Clemmons was the mistress of celebrated Buffalo Bill Colonel William F. Cody, before and after the marriage with Gould, and also lover of famous actor Dustin Farnum. Howard Gould was one of 6 sons of " Robber Baron " and builder of railways JASON JAY GOULD (1836 - 1892) and Helen Day Miller (1838 - 1889). After the divorce, in 1937 Howard Gould remarried with another actress Grete Moshein (1905 - 1986) but divorced in 1947. All the 2 marriages was without descendence.
