1939, MONTECASSINO, FROSINONE, ITALY : The Chiostro dei Benefattori and Basilica façade of ABBAZIA DI MONTECASSINO before the destructions of 1944 under the bombs of Allieds Forces. The Abbbazia was rebuilt after the war. St. Benedict of Nursia established his first monastery in Montecassino, the source of the Benedictine Order, here around 529.
