1937, PARIS, FRANCE : The actress, german spy and journalist MAGDA DE FONTANGES (Madeleine Coraboeuf, 1905 - 1960), with her lover and attorney MAITRE FLORIOT. Magda was accused of shooting the french ambassador in Rome Count Charles De Chambrun (shooting in Paris, 17 march 1937) because he broke up her friendship with italian Duce premier BENITO MUSSOLINI. For this reason was sentenced to one year suspended sentence with slight penality of 100Francs for shooting and 1 Franc like award to damages to Chambrun. In 1935 in Rome, she made an interview with the Duce, she becomes the mistress. However, a link that will be short and that Magda will field day twice in the press (" Times " and " Confessions ", 1937). Furious, Mussolini expelled immediately Magda from Italy. When the War broke out, Magda work for the German Secret Service (Abwehr). In Paris 1943, became the mistress of the French Gestapo boss Henri Lafont. After the Liberation she was finally arrested in March 1946 for collaboration with the enemy. She was sentenced to 15 years hard labor and twenty years of banishment, national indignity for life and confiscation of all his property. After more others problems with law Magda trying in 1955 to robber a painting by Utrillo to his lawyer and lover Maitre Floriot and she was closed in mental asylum for four years. In 1960 committed suicide with sleeping pills in Geneva.
