1920 ca : The italian politician LUIGI LUZZATTI (1841 - 1927) was an Italian political figure and served as Prime Minister of Italy between 1910 and 1911. He was Italy's second Jewish prime minister in a row, being preceded by Sidney Sonnino. He is remembered for his book DIO NELLA LIBERTA' (God in Freedom), in which he advocates religious tolerance. This provoked an exchange of correspondence between him and Benedetto Croce
