1935, ITALY : The italian judge, playwriter, poet, writer UGO BETTI (1892 - 1953), portrait caricature by MINIACI. Friend of writer Carlo Emilio Gadda, Betti is considered by many the greatest Italian playwright next to Luigi Pirandello. Author of 27 plays, the most celebrated is "Corruzione al Palazzo di giustizia "(1944 but performed in theatre only in 1949).
