1790 ca : Engraving " THE DEATH OF LEONARDO - THE ALLEGORY OF PAINTING " (XVIII century), engraved by italian artist Giuseppe Cades (1750 1799), aged 67 years old, is portraied at moment of death into the arms of King of France François I the day 2 may 1519 in Chateau d' Amboise (France). But in reality is a fantasy scene, the King was not present at time, was in his castle at Saint-Germain-en-Laye. This engraving is an ALLEGORICAL vision of Leonardo death in presence of others celebrated italian painters: FRANCESCO SALVIATI (aka il CORREGGIO), ANDREA DEL SARTO, ABATE PRIMATICCIO, ROSSO FIORENTINO, BENVENUTO CELLINI, all artist at the french Cort of King of France.
