The rich italian Prince and great Art collector Cardinale FLAVIO CHIGI (1631 - 1693)and Duke of Ariccia, son of prince MARIO CHIGI (1594 - 1667) and Berenice della Ciaia. Portrait engraving by a french engraver when in 1664, Cardinal Flavio Chigi was received by King Louis XIV of France. Nefew of Pope PAPA ALESSANDRO VII born Fabio Chigi (1599 - 1967), cousin of Cardinal Sigismondo Chigi (1649 - 1678). Following the death of his uncle, he oversaw the creation of the tomb for Alexander VII, designed by sculptor and architect Gianlorenzo Bernini.
