Portrait engraving in 1665 by a french engraver when in 1664, Cardinal Flavio Chigi was received by King Louis XIV of France, with him portrayed in this print during an AUDIENCE ROYALE. Nefew of Pope PAPA ALESSANDRO VII born Fabio Chigi (1599 - 1967), cousin of Cardinal Sigismondo Chigi (1649 - 1678). Following the death of his uncle, he oversaw the creation of the tomb for Alexander VII, designed by sculptor and architect Gianlorenzo Bernini.
