1928, LOS ANGELES, USA : The celebrated swimmer and movie actor JOHNNY WEISSMULLER (Chicago 1904 - Acapulco, Mexico 1984) with some Amsterdam 1928 swimmer Olympic champions. From the left in this photo : Bronze Medal future movie actor BUSTER CRABBE (1908 - 1983), Golden Medal GEORGE KOJAC (1910 - 1996) and the 16-year-old swimmer RAY RUDDY (1911 - 1938). Ruddy died as a result of brain injuries sustained in an accident fall in 1938, he was 27 years old. Johnny WEISSMULLER then held many swimming records with a total of five gold medals in swimming events from the Olympic Games of 1924 and 1928. From 1933 Weissmuller became the famous actor in TARZAN, THE APE MAN by W. S. Van Dyke.
