1927, 26 june, USA : The Silent Movie actress VILMA BANKY (1898 - 1991), the favorite screen-partner by Rudolph Valentino, the day of wedding with actor ROD LA ROCQUE (1898 1969). La Rocque met his future wife, Hungarian actress Vilma Bánky, at a dinner party at DeMille's home in 1925. When they married in 1927, it was a lavish affair in which DeMille served as best man. The wedding was attended by the creme de la creme of Hollywood society, and afterward, there was a reception for 2,000 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Wedding was paid for by producer Samuel Goldwyn and was considered one of the most extravagent of all Hollywood parties at the time. Some voice reported like this marriage was only a pubblicity opportunity for the two actors why Rod La Rocque was totally homosexual. In fact the copy dont have sons and never divorced.
