1921, april, USA : The italian born anachicist TITO LIGI (aka Augusto Vitaletti aka Vinzenio Leggio or Liggio aka Toto Ligi), was the alleged wagon driver in Wall Street explosion following the bomb explosion in the office of J.P. Morgan Co. at Broad and Wall Streets which killed at least 15 and injured hundreds the day 16 september 1920. From the original caption file of this photo: " Tito Ligi, 26 years old, who is being held by the Federal autorities in Scranton, Pensylvania, as an alleged suspect in the Wall Street bomb plot. Ligi, according to the Scranton authorities has admitted that he is an Anarchist, and is unable to give a satisfactory explanation of his whereabouts on september 16th, the date of the Wall Street horror. Ligi, who speaks only italian, stoutly denies any connection with the explosion."
