1908, SANIT PETERSBOURG, RUSSIA : The russian dancer and choreographer BRONISLAVA NIJINSKA (1891 - 1972) in 1908, graduation photo at Dance Academy School. Nijinska played a leading role in the pioneering movement that turned against 19th-century Classicism, which paved the way for neoclassical works to come. She was the younger sister of the renowned dancer VASLAV NIJINSKY (1888 - 1950).
