1880 ca, IMPERIA, ITALY : SANREMO - SAN REMO, view of the VILLA ZIRIO. The Villa was built by the rich lawyer Giovanni Battista Zirio, on project of architect Marsigliese Berenger, before 1868. The garden was a project by botanist Ludovico Winter (1846 1912). In this home stay for 4 months, from 3 november 1887, the prince Frederick III King ofi Prussia an Emperor of Germany (1831 1888) for a cure of mouth cancer, under the cure of Doctor Morell Mackenzie. In 1868 stay for a visit the celebrated music composer Richard Wagner (1813 1883) with his friend Von Kettel. The house at left side in this photo is Villa Rothenburg.
