1925, FLORENCE, ITALY: The italian Anti-Fascist journalist and historian CARLO ROSSELLI (1899-1937), 3th from the left with lens, with brother NELLO ROSSELLI (1900-1937), first from right, with others founders of italian clandestin newspaper NON MOLLARE: (from the left) NELLO TRAQUANDI (1898-1968), TOMMASO RAMORINO, ERNESTO ROSSI (1897-1967) and LUIGI EMERY. The Rosselli's developed a theory of reformist, non-Marxist Socialism inspired by the British Labour movement, that he described as" liberal Socialism". Carlo Rosselli founded the anti-fascist militant movement Giustizia e Libertà and personally took part in combat in the Spanish Civil War where he served on the Republican side. In June 1937 Carlo and Nello Rosselli visited the French resort town of Bagnoles-de-l'Orne. On 9 June the two brothers were killed by a group of" cagoulards", militants of the" Cagoule", a French fascist group, on the orders of Benito Mussolini via Costanzo Ciano and the Italian Fascist Secret Service (OVRA). Happened in a forest, the brothers Rosselli had been taken for a ride in gangstern style, shot in the back and thrown from a car.
