1880 ca, NEW YORK, USA: CAPTAIN GEORGE COSTENTENUS (born in 1833, Souli, Epyrus, Greece) pirate and adventurer, was a very celebrated man with many tattooes on his body who tourned around Europe and United Stated whit more success in the Vaudeville and FREAKS SHOW or CIRCUS. This pubblicity poster wrote what the agent Farini present in USA at Royal Aquarium Theatre the Captain Costentenus, a Greek Albanian man tattooed from head to foot in Chinese Tartary, as punishment for engaging in rebellion against the King ordoned by the Yakoob-Berg of Tartars. The Captain was a bearded man tattooed with 388 blue animals like elephants, birds, snakes, lions etc. In 1875 arrive in USA and 2 years later was one of fabolous attractions of PT BARNUM CIRCUS. Also know like Djordgi Konstantinus and Georgius Constantine. In reality Costentenus survive with two others sailors but were punished by tattooing at Bhamo, in Burma, why hostile at government. Escape in China, Manila, Hong Kong, Suez and Vienna. In the early 1870s while in Vienna, he attracted the attention of medical professionals and anthropologists.
