Was the consort of princess CHARLOTTE Archiduchesse of AUSTRIA (1840-1927), born Charlotte of Belgium, Empress of Mexico from 1863. Charlotte was the only daughter of King Leopold I King of the Belgians (1790 1865) by his second wife Louise-Marie, Princess of France (1812 1850). Maximillian was the second son of Archduke Franz Karl of Austria and his wife Sophie Friederike Dorothee Wilhelmine Princess of Bavaria
