1910, october, WASHINGHTON, USA: The British pioneer aviator CLAUDE GRAHAME-WHITE (1879 1959). On 14 October 1910 while in Washington, D.C. Grahame-White flew his Farman biplane over the city and landed on Pennsylvania Avenue near the White House. Rather than being arrested Grahame-White was applauded for the feat by the newspapers. Grahame-White marry the american heiress and future DOROTHY Caldwell TAYLOR (1888-1954) from 1912 to 1916, after divorce she married the italian Fascist politician Conte Carlo Dentice di Frasso (1876-1945) in july 1923 in New York. The contessa Dorothy DENTICE DI FRASSO became a gossip columnist Socialite, journalist of High Society in Hollywood. Dorothy, heiress of 12 million inheritance, was the daughter of rich newyorker leather-goods manufacturer Bertrand LeRoy Taylor and Nellie Taylor née Caldwell
