1914, USA: The iconic image KALOMA copyrighted by unknown photographer M.L. PRESSLER in 1914 in USA. It was originally produced as an art print, the title is an hommage on HAWAII. The risqué image was popular and sold well. Also in 1914, the image appeared on the cover of" Kaloma, Valse Hesitante (Hesitation Waltz)" composed by Gire Goulineaux and published by the Cosmopolitan Music Publishing Company, NY. Kaloma's popularity continued as she became a pinup during WW I, and appeared after the war on post cards. After discrete airbrushing darkened her peignoir, Kaloma appeared in other popular advertising. In 1967 the image was re-discovered like a HIPPIE revival and used for the advertising poster for the San Francisco concert of pop-rock psychedelic group VANILLA FOUDGES. In 1976 Glenn Boyer used Kaloma an cover illustration for book" I Married Wyatt Earp". Gradually, interest in the image began to shift from risqué nostalgia. From this year and for a completely mistake the woman on photo was for error identified like a portraits of Josephine Marcus Earp. But the real identity of the real model still remain completely unknown at today
