1872, BOLOGNA, ITALY: CAROLINA" Lina" CRISTOFORI PIVA (1837-1881), married with Maggiore Generale Domenico Piva. Carolina was the lover of celebrated italian poet Giosué CARDUCCI (1835-1907), NOBEL Prize for the Literature in 1906. Caronina was the model for the caracter of" Lidia" in poems ODI BARBARE (1877). He completed his studies in Verona and then perfect them in Milan where married Piva. The passionate love affair between Giosuè and Lina spent between 1872 and 1878, marked by a conspicuous correspondence of 578 letters from Carducci. She died in Bologna assisted by Carducci, who prortrayed Lina in PRIMAVERE ELLENICHE (1872)
