Lind was one of the most highly regarded singers of the 19th century, undertook an extraordinarily popular concert tour of America beginning in 1850 organzied by manager and Circus showman P. T. Barnum, in 93 large-scale concerts around U.S. Lind was adored by famous composer like Robert Schumann, Hector Berlioz, Giuseppe Verdi and most importantly for her Felix Mendelssohn
