1910 ca, GENOVA, ITALY: A illustrated postcard with a view of VILLA RAGGIO in locality Cornigliano (near Sestri Ponente). Property of rich industrial and politician Edilio Raggio (1840 1906), edified from 1881 to 1885 in Ecleptic Gothic Style from a proyect of architect Luigi Rovelli (1850 1911), inspired by the Castello di Miramare near Trieste of Maximillian Absburg of Austria Emperor of Mexico. Damaged during the WW2 was completely destroyed in 1951 to leave the site at the" Oscar Sinigaglia" steelworks of ITALSIDER and at the Cristoforo Colombo international airport, opened a decade later
