1942, ROMA, ITALY: The italian Marchese Gaetano Gösta DEL PEZZO Duca di CAIANELLO (1892-1970), engineer, footballer, sports manager, soccer referee and chess player. In this photo at Casina delle Rose Valatier at Pincio in Rome, when was Capitano di Complemento del Genio Militare during the WW2. The only one son of famous mathematician and Senatore Marchese Pasquale Duca di Caianello (1859-1936), Sindaco di Napoli from 1914 to 1917, and the swedish woman writer and dramatist Anne Charlotte LEFFLER (1849- 1892), sister of celebrated mathematician Gösta-Mittag Leffler (1846-1927). Gaetano Gösta married in 1924 with Maria Rosa Messanelli dei Duchi di Castronuovo e marchesi della Teana (born 1894) and had 2 sons: PAOLO DEL PEZZO (1925-1993, married with Laura Capuano, with 3 sons) and ANNA CARLOTTA aka CARLOTTINA DEL PEZZO (1928-2010, widow of Enrico Goldschmidt, celebrated lover of woman writer Susan Sontag and painter Bice Brichetto)
