gruppiFAF-GRANDILASTREUn patrimonio fotografico di 170 lastre realizzate in misure maggiori rispetto ai formati standard comunemente pubblicati nei cataloghi commerciali degli atelier tra Ottocento e Novecento. Oggetti fotografici di dimensioni considerevoli che raggiungono i 114 cm sul lato lungo, le cosiddette lastre imperiali, la cui analisi ai fini del restauro, anche da un punto di vista diagnostico, ha rilevato lavorazioni artigianali peculiari come mascherature di carta, verniciature e ritocchi. L’offerta sul mercato fotografico di stampe “Grandissime” inizia già con il primo catalogo generale del 1863 sotto la guida di Leopoldo Alinari, e si intensifica con la direzione di Giuseppe raggiungendo un primato nella tecnica che gli valse la medaglia d’oro all’Esposizione Universale di Parigi del 1889, per la riproduzione a grandezza naturale di alcuni dipinti della Galleria degli Uffizi. Quest’opera continua sotto la direzione di Vittorio dal 1890 fino al 1920. I soggetti rappresentati sono soprattutto capolavori delle gallerie fiorentine e romane, vedute di Firenze, Roma, Venezia e Napoli e soggetti le cui caratteristiche fanno ipotizzare richieste su commissione. Oltre alle lastre dei Fratelli Alinari ve ne sono alcune prodotte da Anderson e Mannelli. La decodifica tecnica e filologica dei “giganti di vetro” è molto complessa, perciò, la ricerca prosegue per approfondire la conoscenza di un unicum tra i patrimoni fotografici internazionali ma allo stesso tempo cifra di un’epoca. Intervento di digitalizzazione reso possibile grazie al finanziamento del PNRR Missione 1 – Digitalizzazione, innovazione, competitività e cultura, Componente 3 – Turismo e Cultura 4.0 (M1C3), Misura 1 - Patrimonio culturale per la prossima generazione, Investimento 1.1 - Strategie e piattaforme digitali per il patrimonio culturale, Sub-investimento 1.1.5 - Digitalizzazione del patrimonio. Il restauro e la catalogazione sono stati realizzati grazie al contributo della Fondazione CR Firenze.
